Committees

Articulation committees play a critical role in facilitating smooth student mobility between institutions in the BC Transfer System. There are 67 articulation committees currently recognized by BCCAT. They exist for most disciplines or programs that are delivered in more than one BC post-secondary institution.

The following Resources have been developed to assist articulation committees and transfer credit personnel with the day to day operations of articulation.

  • How to Articulate Handbook: The purpose of this handbook is to provide a resource for institutions, departments, faculty members, and articulation committees who are engaged in articulating courses and programs for credit within the BC Transfer System.
  • Articulation Committee Companion: The Articulation Committee Companion serves as both an introductory resource for new members and as an ongoing reference for committees. 
  • Best Practice Guide: A Resource for Receiving Institutions: This guide has been developed primarily for institutions in the BC Transfer System interested in receiving and evaluation requests for articulation in the BC Transfer System.
  • Transfer-Friendly Course Outline Form: This form can be used in two ways: as a template for the development of a new designed-to-transfer course, or as a checklist to ensure the components of an existing course outlines are similar to those on the transfer-friendly course outline form.
  • Transfer and Articulation Committee:  This page lists the terms of reference and the membership of BCCAT's Transfer and Articulation Committee.
