MESSAGE FROM ROBERT FLEMING, DIRECTOR OF BCCAT REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF MEG STAINSBY AS DIRECTOR, TRANSFER & ARTICULATION AS OF JANUARY 1, 2018:
I am pleased to let you know that Ms. Meg Stainsby will be joining the BCCAT team as Director, Transfer and Articulation, following John FitzGibbon's retirement at the end of December. Meg has been Dean of the Faculty of Language, Literature, and Performing Arts at Douglas College for the past seven years, and previously she served as chair of the English department. She has extensive experience with curriculum development and review, articulation and transfer, and educational governance, policy, and administration.
Meg has served as system liaison person and member of two articulation committees. She chaired the BC Deans of Arts and Sciences Programs group from 2015-17 and the Collaborative Bachelor of Performing Arts Steering Committee from 2011-2015. Meg is an accomplished writer and editor who has taught writing and literature at Douglas College and other BC public post-secondary institutions for over 25 years. Meg holds graduate degrees in English, Liberal Studies, and Creative Writing from Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia.
