This resource has been developed to help reduce the number of situations where transfer is denied because of inadequate content and detail in the course outlines being sent to receiving institutions.

Recommended Steps for First Time Use:
- Read the Overview
- Print the Instructions and Help Information
- Download the Course Outline Form
- Save the form on your hard drive or network
- Gather all needed materials (e.g. notes, textbook details, reading lists, calendars)
- Complete the form
- Follow the appropriate institutional process for articulation

SFU Writing, Breadth and Quantitative Supplementary Forms - These supplementary forms are for use when requesting Writing Intensive (W), Breadth (B) or Quantitative/Analytical (Q) designation from Simon Fraser University. Complete the appropriate form and attach it to your course outline.

Supplementary Course Outline Components and Resources - Provides a useful list of possible (but not essential for transfer) course outline components. Consider this a resource that you can cut-and-paste from in order to create a section-specific course outline/syllabus for distribution to your students. You can also use this form if you run out of room to list your texts.
