Annual Review

Welcome to the BCCAT 2010-11 Annual Review.  This publication serves as the annual report of the Council to the Ministry.  As such, it provides an overview of the major projects, activities, and research carried out by BCCAT this year.

The mandate of BCCAT is to facilitate articulation, transfer, and admission arrangements among BC post-secondary institutions for the benefit of students.  This involves a wide range of projects and activities, from providing key resources and support to coordinating extensive research on student movement and credit transfer to inform institutional planning.

BCCAT makes it a priority to take a collaborative approach in order to foster an accessible and responsive transfer system.  Through meaningful consultation with system partners (the Ministry, institutions, post-secondary groups and organizations), BCCAT aims to build respectful relationships informed by understanding and trust.  These relationships serve to form a robust environment which helps to sustain transfer system initiatives in the best interests of BC's students.
