BCCAT Transfer Awards

These awards are conferred in recognition of individuals or groups who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in the BC post-secondary system by engaging in activities that have made a significant and valuable contribution to the transfer community.

There are four awards categories, as outlined below.  Links to the nomination form, an info sheet, and an infographic are also provided below.

We invite all of our post-secondary partners to take up this opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding achievements of colleagues in support of transfer and articulation in BC.

 

1. LEADERSHIP AWARD

This award recognizes an individual or group for demonstrating exemplary leadership that has had a significant and positive impact on advancing the theory and practice of transfer and articulation within the BC Transfer System.

Eligibility: Individual(s) employed at a BC Transfer System institution or BC post-secondary agency in support of higher education in the province of BC for a minimum of 5 years.

2. TRANSFER & ARTICULATION COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARD

This award recognizes an individual or group for their contributions to the BC Transfer System in their role(s) as community leaders and active volunteers in professional service to the broader articulation community.
(NOTE: A prime example would be an individual serving in an articulation committee, or the committee itself.)

Eligibility: Individual(s) employed at a BC Transfer System institution or BC post-secondary agency in support of higher education in the province of BC.

3. RISING STAR AWARD

This award recognizes an individual or group of individuals who, while early in their career, demonstrates exceptional leadership and accomplishment in the area of transfer and articulation within the BC Transfer System.

Eligibility: Individual(s) employed at one or more BC Transfer System institutions or system agencies in support of higher education in the province of BC for the past five years or less.

4. FRANKLIN GELIN LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This award recognizes an individual whose long-term contributions and far-reaching impacts have become apparent over a career of commitment to advancing transfer and articulation in the BC post-secondary system.
NOTE: This award will be presented on an occasional basis, and only when outstanding nominations are received.

Eligibility:  An individual currently or previously employed at one or more BC Transfer System institutions and/or system agencies in support of higher education in the province of BC for eight or more years.

  1. DOWNLOAD THE FILE, AND
  2. OPEN IT IN ADOBE ACROBAT to type in your text (or cut and paste as appropriate). 
  3. When completed, send the PDF as an email attachment to BCCAT.  If you have difficulty using the Adobe form, it would be acceptable to submit an accompanying Word file with these items clearly marked in the document: Nominee, Award Category, Nominator, Endorsers, all relevant contact info, and corresponding Question #s for related answers.
